Urban Forestry


DDOT Trees is the Urban Forestry Administration which is responsible for establishing and maintaining a full population of healthy street trees within the District.

Tree Planting

From November to May, DDOT Trees will plant at least 7000 street trees citywide in all eight wards. The planting schedule for specific neighborhoods is subject to change due to equipment, weather, emergencies and other extenuating circumstances.
