Yard Waste 94% 97% Yard waste is collected at the same time as trash. Residents are urged to bage or bundle their yard waste and place it at their point of collection with the other refuse

Trash Collection Requested 92% 76% Working toward more timely response. We have started a weekly review of all reported missed collections by route including GIS mapping. Call Center is asked NOT to take requests for missed service until after 3 pm each day. Currently many calls are received when service is delayed but collection actually takes place on the day sceduled. Investigating these phantom problem delays our response to real missed collections.
Street Cleaning 90% 92% The lack of available sweeping equipment was a problem in May and continued into June. Fleet management is working to resolve parts inventory problems
Department of Health 90% 87% Used student interns to assist with data entry
Alley Cleaning 89% 94% Consistent performance and response to service requests and on time service delivery
Sanitation Enforcement 89% 91% Sustained response to service requests through closer monitoring
Street & Alley Lights 89% 89% DDOT is increasing its attention to this issue. The problem is that DDOT needs a systemwide upgrade

Abandoned Auto 77% 57% Steady improvement in response to times based on recent process changes
Traffic Signals 75% 88% Staffing change for the Signal Maintenance Bridge in July resulted in delays in closing the requests in the Hansen system. Work was completed by contractor with schedule of services. Staffing and process changes made to address issue.
Recycling Bin 72% 86% Increased emphasis will be placed on fulfilling recycling bin requests

Trees 61% 55% With few storm events this month, more arborists were available to inspect service requests. If this weather pattern continues, UFA will increase inspection of service requests
Recycling Request 60% 65% Increased oversight to contractor has been implemented
Sidewalk Repair 56% 79% DDOT Street Maintenance began full blitz on the sidewalks beginning July 1. Sidewalk maintenance crew has been concentrating on permanent concrete repair rather than temporary asphalt. Backlog will begin to diminish as crew catches up. Although permanent repairs have slowed the resolution process, we have been experiencing higher customer satisfaction.
Signs 41% 65% Continuing to refine work order tracking and close out processes. Prioritizing and dedicating staff to improve service. Reestablishing organizational structure for better communication and workflow. Anticipate having reorganization completed by October 1.
Alley Repair 39% 80% Crews have been concentrating on prioritizing street and roadway repairs which have decreased our resolution of alley repair. We will begin to balance this effort in order to catch up with response of alley repairs.
Super Can 30% 63% Inventories are low; contractor awaiting new deliveries
Grass & Weeds Mowing 5% 42% DPW and DDOT share this function; on-time service should improve now that the spring rains have passed.
Autumn Leaf Collection 0% 72% Leaf season began November 3, 2003; lasts through January 10, 2004 - should not be reported during off season
