National Capital Region Leaders Discuss Homeland Security, Transportation, Clean Air, and Tourism
Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner, and Washington, DC Mayor Anthony A. Williams met in Annapolis to discuss the regional issues of homeland security, transportation and clean air, and tourism. The meeting marked the second in a series of meetings between the regional leaders to discuss cross-jurisdictional partnerships. Their meeting in April was the first between Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC executives in 12 years. The executives of Virginia, Maryland and the District also pledged to continue working in partnership to address other regional issues and challenges.
