Mayor Anthony Williams cast his vote in DC’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary on Tuesday, January 13 at 8:30 am at his polling place, St. Mary’s Court, in Northwest Washington. The voting was the first of the 2004 presidential nomination season. “By establishing our presidential primary as the first primary in the country, we hope to bring attention to the District’s lack of voting rights,” said Mayor Williams. Later, the Mayor met up with Reverend Al Sharpton at Bertie Backus Middle School voting precinct in Northeast Washington.
