On June 29, Mayor Williams performed his sixth annual “Cannon Ball Plunge” as part of the District’s summer program kickoff, held at Kenilworth Parkside Recreation Center in Northeast. Officials from the US Olympic Committee, who attended the event, joked Mayor Williams’ dive should help him qualify for the 2008 summer Olympics in Beijing.
