On Tuesday, August 2, District of Columbia residents, business owners, civic leaders and young people joined Mayor Anthony Williams and the Metropolitan Police Department in celebrating the 22nd Annual National Night Out Against Crime. The District's observance of National Night Out and the official kickoff were held at Simon Elementary School in Southeast Washington.
