At a press conference following their fourth regional summit, Mayor Anthony A. Williams, Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. and Virginia Governor Mark R. Warner signed a Memorandum of Understanding creating the Interstate Air Quality Council (IAQC). The IAQC will help to provide streamlined planning and greater air quality benefits for the region.
