Mayor Williams Reappoints Peter Rosenstein to UDC Board of Trustees
(Washington, DC) - Mayor Anthony A. Williams recently reappointed Peter Rosenstein, Executive Director of the National Association for Gifted Children, to serve a full five-year term on the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. Rosenstein has been a District resident for 22 years and served on the Board since January 2000.
"Peter Rosenstein's background in education, development, management, and knowledge of our community will continue to make him an invaluable member of the UDC Board of Trustees," said Mayor Williams. "We share a commitment to making UDC a beacon of educational excellence in our community."
Rosenstein is a graduate of the City College of New York, with a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College. He is active in the community, a Board Member of the Capital Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association, President of Arts in Action, and serves on the Development Committees of both Whitman-Walker Clinic and Food and Friends.
"I'm honored that Mayor Williams continues to have confidence in my ability to serve the District," said Rosenstein. "As a graduate of a city university, I know first-hand how important it is for students, regardless of their economic status, to have an opportunity for higher education. UDC must continue to serve the needs of all District residents who want to continue to learn."
The Peter Rosenstein Confirmation Resolution to the University of the District of Columbia's Board of Trustees was voted on and passed unanimously by the Council of the District of Columbia on Tuesday, December 5, 2000.
