Statement of Mayor Anthony Williams Regarding House Action on The DC Budget
"It is in the best interest of our city that the House did not pass the District's Budget today. The House has needlessly taken a balanced budget that was submitted by local leaders reflecting the city's priorities and transformed it to something that is not acceptable to our people. I call upon Congressional leaders to review and consider our original budget, one that represents the priorities of District residents."
