MONDAY, JULY 31, 2000

17th Annual National Night Out Against Crime

(Washington, DC) Mayor Anthony A. Williams will participate in the 17th Annual National Night Out Against Crime co-sponsored by the Metropolitan Police Department. This national event is part of the Mayor’s overall effort to combat youth violence in our neighborhoods. Highlights of the Mayor’s route include revisiting the location where grandmother Grace Edwards was killed, meeting with the Alliance of Concerned Black Men in the Benning Heights community and joining Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan at the DC/Maryland line for a joint National Night Out event. A complete list of each of the locations Mayor Williams will attend is listed below.
