Tuesday, November 28, 2000 Local and National Celebrities to Help Launch 46th Annual DC Government Employees' One Fund Drive (Washington, DC) Mayor Anthony A. Williams, One Fund Drive Chair S. Kathryn Allen, film star and noted actor Doug E. Doug, WMMJ-FM Radio personalities, and representative agencies from the One Fund Drive will launch the major kick off event for the 46th Annual District of Columbia Government Employees' One Fund Drive. The campaign is the only official, charitable fund-raiser sponsored by the District of Columbia government. One Fund Drive contributions from District government employees help to underwrite the work of health and human service agencies in the greater Washington, DC area. Contributions to support the more than 1,100 participating nonprofit agencies are made through a payroll deduction plan. Click here for more information. Each year one District government agency spearheads the One Fund Drive. This year the Office of Banking and Financial Institutions is the lead agency for management of the campaign.
